What's new

  Fight Cancer Foundation

The Bone Marrow Donor Institute is proud to announce the creation of it's new fundraising arm the Fight Cancer Foundation. Since it's inception in 1989 we have been at the forefront of finding a cure for leukaemia and other cancers through our projects such as  the Australian Bone Marrow Donor Register and the BMDI Cord Blood Bank. In more recent times we have created BMDI House a home away from home for patients with life threatening illnesses and their families and the Back on Track Program which enables Australian children with cancer to stay connected to their school, teachers and peers ensuring they develop educationally, physically and emotionally.

The Board has decided that the name "Fight Cancer Foundation" better reflects the projects and current work of the Institute  and will enable us to increase our funding base and continue our life saving work into the future.

In essence we fight cancer on various fronts from funding research, care and support programs, treatment and projects such as the Back on Track Program.

The history of the Institute will be maintained through the BMDI Cord Blood Bank, BMDI House and the Australian Bone Marrow Donor Registry.
